Dr. Bernard Ang, D.M.D.

Dr. Bernard Ang is deeply committed to providing you with excellent dental care in a compassionate and understanding manner. His attention to detail and his passionate pursuit of dental excellence are his hallmarks.

Graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996, Dr. Ang then went on to complete his General Practice Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA.

More recently, Dr. Ang has studied the natural biological Function and Rehabilitation of the entire chewing system at the Institute for Bioesthetic Dentistry (OBI) in Oregon. This Treatment Philosophy is Holistic in it's approach, allowing the Doctor to assess the cause for misaligned jaw and tooth positions. After a thorough diagnostic procedure, the Doctor then adjusts the areas that are compromising a natural and comfortable bite, thereby setting the patient on a course to oral health and overall wellness. This proven and successful path of treatment, uniquely positions Dr. Ang as a leading provider in the New England area for diagnosing and treating TMJ issues, myofascial pain, and misaligned jaw and occlusal (tooth position or bite) issues.  Currently, Dr. Ang has also achieved certification in Bioesthetic Orthodontics from Cabodent, in Denver, CO.

Dr. Ward Gravel, D.D.S.

Dr. Gravel has been practicing dentistry in Bedford for the past 23 years at our current location.  A graduate of Boston College and Georgetown University of Dental Medicine, Dr. Gravel has never tired of learning in order to deliver the best dental care to his patients.  A perennial student of dentistry, with over 341 hours of continuing education, he has certification and experience in Sedation Dentistry as well as Implantology.

Dr. Steven Calawa, D.D.S.

Dr. Calawa graduated from Northwestern University with honors in 1978, and taught prosthodontics & restorative dentistry at Northwestern from 1978-1983.   Prior to this he graduated magna cum laude from UNH, and from Alvirne High School in Hudson. 

He has recently returned to his "home state" of New Hampshire where his ancestors helped to establish several of our local towns - including Bedford!   He returns to NH having maintained a private practice for restorative dentistry in Rockefeller Center in New York City from 1983 to 2011.

He now lives in Litchfield in an ancestral home build in 1762, and enjoys serving as the President of the Litchfield Historical society, and is a member of the Bedford Historical Society as well.

Dr. Calawa is a member of the ADA, New Hampshire Dental Society, NY State Dental Society, and New York County Dental Society.   He is also a  fellow of the New York Academy of Dentistry.

We are pleased to have him join our Dental Health Team this fall, bringing with him expertise that will complement our mission - "To deliver excellent dental care in a comfortable environment."
